are the lss front shockers handed ? ive fitted them to my car ( s1 elise ) and they seem to be catching on the bottom bolt of the mounting plate. or do i need different mountings ?

No they’re not handed. Mine did exactly the same even when just replacing the same dampers. It’s the spring platform touching the lower bolt head on the top damper mounting bracket isn’t it? Try using a thinner washer under the bolt head…and if that doesn’t work, pitch the washer in the bin too.

yes thats whats happening. i will remove the washers.

Shaun, are you not able to have the bolt head turned down to make it thinner rather than ditching the washer?
just removed the washers and tried a bolt with a smaller head and its still catching. does anyone know if the mounting brackets are different on the s1 elise compared to the s1 exige
