LRSS at Oulton Park Saturday 31st May

Come along - it should be pretty cool. http://www.heritageracingsupport.com/Lotus%20Page.htm Cheers

MarkJohnO, RussT & myself will definately be there - we’ll also be around for the “test day” on the day before [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]Hopefully, a few more of the NW Exige Owners contingent will be able to get there too - come on Lord W, TonyP, Steve, RussM, MikeB, Shaggy, Miles, Yogi, JohnC & of course Tyke [from Yorks] [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]

Hooray - my car will be fixed! Wasn’t actually the gearbox - engine mount had snapped (I do have Geary’s…) and engine / box was rocking, driveshafts banging against chassis caused the boot thing to split and spew gearbox oil everywhere. The jolly nice chaps at gearboxman.co.uk (or is it .com) are fixing it for me as we speak.Cheers

MarkExcellento - see you there [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]

what’s the programme for the day?

SteveQualifying starts at 9am, & the racing at 1.15pm. I think the Lotus race is the first one, but I’m not 100% sure. There are lots of other good races to watch too, so it should be a cracking day out.It would be great to see you there [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]

I’ll see you all there as well, car is finshed…Matt C

Cool, well done mate. See you there.

Nice one Matt - are you testing tomorrow? You will know the circuit better than I do by Saturday morning as I haven’t done the full one before…Cheers

Rox,Yup he is racing, with a circa 200 bhp exige engine in the back.[This message has been edited by RussT (edited 30 May 2003).]

RoxTeddy its as Russ says see above…its abit differant in the torque dept as well! So first event for me. Marc cannot get to practice as still doing things on the car. Did the trackday on Wednesday, just to run the thing in as the engine has only just got back in. Its been a real job getting the car ready and Carlo has done agreat job, he will be there on Sat. Its not to tricked up but you might like the back end paint job, in fact if you like it that much I would be happy if you wanted to drive behind me. See you all up there.Matt C

As above it was atop day out, my first race and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would/could have been. The whole thing has been a race aganist time to get the car ready with the funds I had to spend, some of the nice to have and wish I could do thats, have had to wait until I can afford. It was the second time the car has been used in it 8months that its been off the road, in waiting for its Honda engine, which it never got. All I can say is that abit of the cash that was set aside for that has been spent getting me up and running with ALMOST everything I needed(Marc thanks for the foot pump and loan of afew other bits). So its been well worth it in my book. Now I have to start on the things that need to be done, and try to get them done in the time we have we the funds that I don’t.So if anyone is sitting on the fence not sure weather to give it a try, I would have to say get stuck in. Your car is 90% there as is, and it really is a friendly series and I had nothing but help and good guidance from everyone on my first day. So thanks to everyone for your help, see you at Croft.Matt C
