Lowest BHP losing Sports Cat?

Does anyone know the lowest BHP loss in a sports cat pipe, or have experience with a Sports Cat replacement pipe? Looking for one suitable for a VHPD 190 K and really dont want to lose any more horses!

Elise Parts and Hanger 111 both seem to have an offering…

Many thanks,

Pete.

In my experience, the difference between cat/no cat is marginal in practical terms (ie lap times). Keep the standard cat and save the money for a wortwhile upgrade (and avoid potential noise related issues at track days).

Good advice Eugene…my feelings too

did i red somewhere taht the standard cat have two issues : overheating and overweight

on my 111S, after a few hundreds miles the “yellow” light on the stack lit on (i checked the manual and found that “option” was an alarm for overheating catalser only for japanese market !)

i swaped for a link pipe with the standard exhaust (more quiet than the standard exige) : no more noise at all and no yellow alarm too

i changed last month for a larini club sport and a janspeed cata sport : just a little bit noisy but no more than i expected, and less than my exige honda (wich is running with the same larini clubsport and the standard catalyst)

i am sure i save some weight and be able to pass the french Mot, i have no idea about the heat generate

and at least i don’t know the loss or the gain about power, i just noticed that i loose some torque till 3000 rpm but after that the car seems to be more nervous than before.

hope it helps a little

‘‘and at least i don’t know the loss or the gain about power, i just noticed that i loose some torque till 3000 rpm but after that the car seems to be more nervous than before’’.

Don’t treat it so harshly and it will stop being ‘nervous’!
