I’ve been looking at this checklist from the lotussport website and was wondering if I really have to worry about no. 20? ‘Check rear hub nut torque (220 Nm) & renew split pin’?
Has anyone actually ever bothered to do this?
Yep I check the ones on my car before every race meeting, but then I pretty much check every nut and bolt. They have never come loose as far as i can remember.

Strange how you forget about the roof bolts, & the turbo bolts, but never mind hey!
Bugger off, the roof balts were tight, it was Maddogs dodgy roof mounting brackets that let me down and the bloody turbo fell off because of the origibal dodgy manifold I used. Been bolted on nicely for the last half of last season!!

Mine doesn’t have a split pin but a deformable locking flange. I’d just be happy to know that it was still locked or the split pin was still in place.
