Lotus Paint & Warranty

Hi All,

Just as I was about to drive home today, i looked down at my door panel, and noticed an odd effect at first I thought my eyes had misfocused, sadly this was not the case both my door panels have developed the car version of the mumps :frowning:

I can only assume vapour or water droplets have managed to get under the paint, freeze and expand causing the effect, the word devasated doesnt come into how i’m feeling at the moment.

My Exige S2 is a 05, any suggestion on what steps I should take?

Stickers lol, works for me

No help I know

My 2006 roof is the same …

Paint is never going to last looking “A1” on an Exige in my view …

Reckon dealer would say “TADS”

:frowning:

Only solution is to repaint the affected panels … Costly , or , just live with it …

Paint is covered by a 2-year warranty. Lotus resprayed my rear clam twice before replacing it - sadly not the engine bay cover which now also has micro blisters!

Only options are to accept it or pay for a respray…

Spoke to lotus, they recommend seeing how it progresses as the warm weather is coming in, things may settle down and even flatten out (I can only hope) worse case Ill will get them sorted.

I imagine plenty of people will have suffered with the bad winter we had, it is not as bad as I first thought, just one of those things I was just gutted when I made the initial post still am.

Saying that, it all disappears when I get behind the wheel anyway

Jonnyfox, no sticker suggestions please, wife been trying to convince me to put her business logo etc… on my car for ages!!

 Need to keep the line drawn there mate

depends who she works for??

Self employed artist, the line has been firmly drawn lol
