Aye, I’m sure that we all realise that, & agree with you Carsten - it’s purely down to “supply & demand” at the end of the day.
I presume you’ll be keeping yours for the foreseeable?

i guess not as his is also in the for sale section.
Oops, missed that, thanks for the correction Chris!
Guys,
You gotta remember that he selling it at European prices… The Euro has been stupidly strong against the pound, so they have all been rushing over here to buy cars. You may balk at that price, but a European would think 45,000 is a great deal.
Hum… Am I mistaken, or is it a RHD car ? Then it should sell on UK price
Okay, I’m stupid, but beeing belgian helps a bit
car sold.
has it stayed on the continent or come back to the uk?
did you get the full asking price? is so, well done!
Nice one Eric
And apologies for the thread drift after your original post.
As I said …
Nice one
Congrats Eric on your sale and for resetting the Exige price bar
That is a great price for what sounded like a super car, means I will now probably never be able to afford to have both an S1 and S2 in my garage
the car stay in france. it is a perfect example of a exige s1. as new…as must be an exige s1
Yep, even if didn’t go for the full whack (& I have no knowledge either way on that).
I had advised RobS before he advertised his car last week, that he shouldn’t put a price on it - just ask for offers, & see what transpired
Congrats, hopefully the price means the car’s gone to an enthusiastic owner
As I said, I’ve been offered a chunk more than 39k for my car in the last week and have turned it down as I’m not interested in selling, so these cars are beginning to find value as collectors latch onto them.
Sorry mate, but that is what really urkes me… so called ‘collectors’ who have more money than any interest in using and enjoying the Exige S1 as it was designed and built to be!
IMHO they should only be sold to peeps who have a genuine ‘exigereness’ as Pesky would say, running thru their veins… like yours!!! NOT garage queens ready to swap in for cash like another stock on an appreciating market when the rate of return is right!
Personally, I think a post count of greater than 1100 on this site should be the deciding factor!

Best get your post count up George
Oh don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying they shouldn’t be enjoyed… I mean they’re not exactly a work of automotive art (they’re sexy, but they’re not beautiful) and their brilliance is in their grumpy temperament and raw nature.
Value doesn’t bother me too much anyway since mine ain’t being sold, as far as I’m concerned it’s got a book value of $0… that way I don’t feel I have anything to gain by getting rid of it
Oh, and that ( ^ ^ ^ ) was #500… this is #501
the reason of this price is that the is low at this moment.it’s 1.09 for 1 euros.before it was 1.5
in euros the price of the exige don’t change in europe. it’s not going up for the moment.
Yeah, value of is low, but the value of S1 is high - I think I can live with that
