To your nearest dealer.yeah, sounds great but I really don’t like the shape of it. it looks too boxter like.question: do you know BBR ? they are doing this elise super 180 turbo charged one and this crazy 300 bhp elise rocket for mr adrian newey… on the 180 turbo, the do a steel exhaust manifold high flow catalytic converter worth 8bhp which is not bad when you think about it… I mean 192 plus 8 = 200… and then we have the sampe power output like the racer… and it looks much better the this oval thingy… what do you think???
Opinions are divided on the tail pipe.Initially I didn’t like it… now I don’t really care! (I won’t say I prefer it)However… the actual tailpipe end-piece is only held on with a jubilee clip… so you COULD swap it for a twin-out end-piece I’m sure.

I’d check the Lotus Sport decals are exactly as the pic shows before ordering them.I’ve been interested in the windscreen visor strip (essential at this time of year with the low sun, and will stop me having to carry a spare set of sungoggles for the passenger , but the official Lotus one doesn’t appear to have the darkened background, so is useless. My dealer says they could get one custom made and I’m going to remind them when I pop in next week to have some work done.
HitchI’ve got a contact who is a vehicle signwriter & will make you a sunstrip. He’s based in Lymm area - Paul Scutt 07971 568053.He’s also a petrolhead - his fun car ia an EVO V, which is somewhat modified & he is competing in hillclimbs this year.Mention my name!My car is at LRV this Friday for 1st service. Perhaps see you there?
I read some story in a local rag recently (Bedfordshire) about some boy racer who got nicked for having a ‘Vauxhall Sport’ sunstrip on his Calibra. Apparently Plod (who obviously had it in for this guy, either that or he worked for the Fashion Police) said it was restricting his view, and gave him a fixed penalty ticket (but no points). Anyway, Wayne, Gary, Darren or whatever his name was got very upset, went to the press and arranged to attend court to fight the case. Unfortunately, no members of Her Majesty’s finest bothered to turn up, and the case was ajourned.I’m not sure what happened after that, I got bored reading it.

Got the Exige Supersport 'zorst put on my standard Elise.Wow. Love it!! Thanks for the recommendation David! Bri
Bruno, I don’t want to rain on your parade, but as I understand it, the full 192 BHP is only achieved with no catalyst at all, so a free-flow catalyst is actually going to give you less than 192 BHP! As an aside, I have a virtually unused Lotus Motorsport free-flow cat going cheap if anyone is interested.
Dave, can’t get that link to work (even as a single line)… Is it still valid? [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/confused.gif[/image]
ok tony, point taken, I have only 191.5…he-he…actually, I can never have enuf power but I’m quite happy for the time beiing, the beast runs very well… as a matter of fact, I spun again this morning but this was on a very twisty b-road in a forest…not on the hockenheim track… VERY frightening experience, I’m telling ya…car has already quite a lot of battle marks but who cares…
Doh! You could have corrected me there Bruno! [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image] I’ve just noticed what I typed, and it’s wrong! You only have 189.5 BHP [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] (it’s 192 PS, which is 190 BHP, not 192 BHP!)
