Wow, i’ve just been reading up on this new Mastretta MXT.
It’s the first car designed and built in Mexico :s
Looks like they are taking all their design cues from Lotus! Instead of the Toyota sourced engine they picked the 2.0L Turbocharged Duratec engine with approx. 240bhp.
Looks like they are going to use same bonded aluminum type structure and fiber glass body. Pricing is also cheaper.
That link says 240hp, which makes it quite interesting at 900kgs.
Although it’s one thing to make a car on paper/prototype, I’m interested in reading some reviews of how it goes round bends and who the dealers will be. And at �33k with only 80 made through 2009 I suspect they’ve got their work cutout.

Bit worried about “together with a semi-monocoque chassis constructed from bonded aluminium” does that mean the fibreglass body is structural?
