Depreciating almost as fast as the full scale model…
Ooh I don’t have one of those!
Spark do one for under 50 so don’t get carried away unless you really want this factory edition.
35 quid HERE
I have '67 Lotus lan in my car collection years ago Sun Star models in Japan asked if they could use it as a basis when they making their scale model. This was agreed , they took 100’s of Photo’s during the rebuild and went into model production.
When the model was produced , it was exactly the same Colour , minute detail, and even my Registation number!!
Today I found the model in a replica model garage on the Internet here
http://www.model-car-world.co.uk/Product.aspx?product=ch4051r
How cool is that???
My real lan has a current mileometer reading of 5880 miles ( backed up by MOT’s)
Very!
Why don’t you use it more?

I do use it, in the Summer, for Classic Car runs, local runs, and went to Bruges in August 2011, but it is an appreciating asset.(unlike stocks and bank savings)
Less than 6K miles in 44 years is hardly using it, is it?
You’ll do well to find the S1 car now in 1/43. There is a 1/43 of the Sport Elise on the same page as the Evora above - again its 35 and could be repainted if you’re any good with tweezers and a magnifying glass. LINK HERE 1/43 Lotus Models
Cough!
I bought it as a barn find in 1988 and it was/ has been rebuilt off it’s log book, over 4 years so recreated as new.(in fact better than!!!)
So 6000 miles in 19 years is more than some Exiges see

Really? Those S1s in particular (eg Con’s) with “low” mileages are mainly used on track ie they have regular use each year as intended, with all mechanical bits/seals/joints etc maintained to the highest working standard. It’s usually “museum” low mileage cars which prove to be unreliable. No doubt yours is the exception to the rule, & well done for owning what must be a “concours standard” car Would love to see it sometime for a drool

Finally there is never any pressure to buy but keep in mind, the car you looked at today and want to think about till tomorrow could be the very same car someone else looked at yesterday and will buy today.
