P.s. Has anyone got a Lotus Carlton or Lotus Cortina they could bring along as a course car? I need something that can carry the Clerk and a steward or two. You get to drive, of course.Call me on 07974 415496 if you can help.Mike
C’mon,Somebody must know somebody with a Lotus Carlton or Cortina that would love to show it off round Silverstone???Mike
Mike,A long shot I know but, if you don’t make offers you don’t get sales…Prior to Exige Ownership I had a VX220 purchased from Monorep in Hayes (stay with me [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]), either the Service Manager or Site Manager has owned a Lotus Carlton from new and I’ve seen it on the forecourt on several occasions. The chap is obviously an enthusiast and I suspect would gladly take the car around Silverstone - Monorep can be contacted on 0208 893 0900 or [email protected] (don’t know how regularly they check mail).Good luck with the Search and see you on Saturday.JamesLRG Exige [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]
As you will have noticed I didn’t manage to find a Carlton ( I stayed at Silverstone last night so didn’t pick up your message until tonight) but I was very pleaeed with the way the day went - especially the F1 demo for which I now owe Geoff Farmer and Clive Chapman a few beers! It was also great to see so many Lotus road cars parked on the infield - so thanks to everyone who turned up ansd I hope you all enjoyed your day.RegardsMike
