Lotus Cup UK Snetterton 25th/26th June

Big thanks to John and Wayne at JSR for all their help and support.

After a disasterous Silverstone round, where I crashed on the 1st lap of a 1 hour race, John and Wayne have provided sterling help supporting me getting the car back together.

As well as sticking the front clam back together and rebuilding the drivers side front suspension we also changed out the gearbox as was still the original and 3rd was starting to crunch.

Car finally almost all back togther Thursday with just a few bits for me to do Friday morning before the drive up to Snetterton.

Got a call from John Thursday saying that the car had developed a misfire when cold ??? and despite changing everything they could think of still there but gets better as car warms up !!!

Oh well we get it to Snetterton and complete free practice and qually still with misfire and only qualify 31st. Still got this strange issue that the misfire gets better as the car gets hotter !!! Lots more swapping over of bits, stareing at laptop readings of ECU’s and looking into the engine bay and scratching of heads but no resolution !!With a very hot day forecast for Sunday fingers were crossed that the fault would be magically burnt off. Had a good race but frustrating as car still misfiring and down on power so could get passed some of the Elises round the twisty bits, especially going round the outside of them in Coram and under braking into Russell bend only then to be outdragged up the start finish straight. After a very hot 1 hour managed to have dragged myself up from 31st to 17th and finish 2nd in class and got a trophy (woo hoo) that will hopefully be on display somewhere at JSR.

Again a massive big thank you to John and Wayne for their support.
