well an interseting, exciting and ultimatley despairing last few days. 
was at the LOT evening at Donny Friday to refamilerise myself with the track and check the car out. All going great until last but one session when blew an oil hose going into Mcleans which resulted in oil being sprayed over a very hot disk brake and the tyre. Sharp exit left ino the gravel with loads of smoke plus a small amount of flames 
After being recovered back to the pits, straight on the phone to John at JS Racing " John hope you’ve not got anything planned for Saturday need you help !!!
Early Start Satruday up to JSR unit. oil pipe fixed fairly quickly but a good few hours spent getting all the gravel out of everywhere, worse than sand under the foreskin !!! 
All good for qually on Sunday Have a good qually ending up 14th (best placing so far)
NOW THE TRAGIC BIT
Great race making up places and keeping very close to the class leader. Pit early and couple of laps later coming down the pit straight as the class leader comes out just in front of me. Good couple of laps racing and he makes a mistake at Mcleans and I get through. Now 1st in class and 8th overall. Maintain this to the end of the race and enter park ferme exstatic with result.
Then comes the big downer. Madatory pit stop is 3 mins, it transpires I have exited the pit at 2.59.58, two hundreth of a second to early which earns me a two lap penalty and costs me my first in class
oh well thats racing 
, will not be making the same mistake again !!!
Massive thanks to John at JS Racing for giving up his Saturday to help get the car fixed and to him and Wayne for their race support Sunday, very sorry both that I failed to deliver the 1st place trophy but theres still Spa and Brands to try and rectify things
