Lotus Badge

How is the badge on the front clam held on?? i want to get it off but dont want to pull it off and find its screwed on from the back.

It should be screwed on - unless it’s previously been replaced & stuck on.

Cheers, fast reply

You should see him drive

LOL

I just taken the grill out and it looks to me that its a clam off job to get to it

Or is there an easy way???

(on the Elise) I think the dealers have a trick where you can do it with the clam on, but don’t know if this applies to the Exige too. It also probably involves bending things to the point of breaking…

Get a dremel and cut it off cut through the centre of the badge, even if you touch clam you can cover it over with a new badge.

Well dodgy that. If the car is a keeper, any crack would creep along & appear eventually. I believe some of the more recent cars have a crappy glued on version

Ah the superior build quality of the S1

Think i will wait till i get a new badge before i try that
