Lotus 79 at Donington show

Anyone else agree that the Lotus 79 at the show has got to be te best looking GP car ever made,apart from maybe the Williams FW07C.

If it wins it usually looks beautiful but yes I saw it there too and it’s f**in gorgeous. I was there when the one one in existence at the time was destroyed at Silverstone I think it was the international trophy or something…ooh teks me back it does

Type 43 is an unusual choice IMHO, not exactly the most successfull car as it was just a stop gap until the DFV came along.

Or did you mean 33 or 49 even

I have to agree on the 25 though. I first saw this at the Jim Clark 25 year anniversary meet at Knockhill…glorious car, glorious noise.

On a similar theme, the most gorgeous racing car ever has to be Steve Mcqueens Porsche 917k in the Gulf livery…its up for sale at 2.5 million quid…mmmmmm!
