What did I miss ?
Gavās a hero and saves people lives!!!
Well Qually went OK ish today.
Yesterdays track day was great, car ran well all day and at full boost it hit 168mph (GPS) up the Kemel!!!
Today in free practice the exhaust manifold cracked. Its so slow in LOT spec, it only des 140 up the hill now. We didnāt have time to fix the manifold before qually, so I went out and did 1 lap as fast as I could and ended up 4th on a 2:47. I crawled the two extra laps to make up my three for qually and then pulled in. The crack in the manifold had turned into a hole.
We got the manifold off and welded the crap out of it. Fingers crossed it will hold together for tomorrows and sundays races. To be honest if it cracks tomorrow we have until Sunday to fix it.
Roll on tomorrow, I am hoping for second, I just donāt think I have it in me to get anywhere near Jamie, he is just soooo bloody fast, awesome driver, much respect!!!
Bugger!
Good luck Sean.
I found out yesterday that my wheel āguyā is related to Jamie! Not immediate family, but Chris Massey knows him. Says he has a nice ride sorted for next year.
Thanks for the update Sean - good luck for tomorrow.
Secondā¦come on dude get us the Gold!
Good luck buddy āyou can do itā.
Just flick yer magic switch about 3 laps from the finish
Well the second race was the scaryest half an hour I have ever spent in the car. The rain was very very heavy all morning and throughout the race. Again I got a decent start and was third after Eau Rouge, but visibility was very bad. Half way up the Kemmel straight there is a surface change and every lap my back wheels just lit up as soon as I hit it. There were about 4 rivers running across different parts of the track.
The 211 and Exige Cup boys with there traction contol and ABS were just too hard to hold back.
Plus my car was literally filling up with water. As the race rolled on there was water everywhere, the windows were steamed up, the dash had stopped working, and the car started misfiring, I had been following a 211 quite closly and the terential spray was drowning my poor little car. I ended up retiring on the last lap with a misfire.
It was horrible and very scarey!
Roll on Silverstone next weekend and some dry weather!!

Donāt jinx it lol!
You guys are mad for racing round in that weather, much kudos.
Iāve just watched in car footage from Chris Headlamās car from the 2nd race and it was butt-clenchingly scary just watching a tiny video
Maximum respect Sean for giving it any level of commitment in those conditions on 48ās in a car with no TC and lots of power/torque.
Where did he go? Where did who go?
Amazing footageā¦
Dude!
