Fantastic weather - up tho the point that we got into Gandhi’s for the curry - then the heavens opened & the thunder set in!
Good night but too many cars there - I think there were 50, which is a few too many for a three hour session IMHO! The marshals were not too clever at letting cars out of the pit lane either - it didn’t matter if there was anything coming or not - out you were sent. I had to jump on the brakes so many times at the approach to Redgate due to cars coming out.
Three red flags - one had the track shut for about 20 minutes after an Elise blew the engine & sprayed oil from Redgate to Craner - but the concrete powder sorted that out really well!
Great driving but I could not find my video camera mount & so couldn’t record any of it…
Drove CIRVYs 290 BHP S2, which was fantastic - but he LOVED the S1 when he drove it!

i’ve never done a donny eve with LOT but all the BAT eve’s i’ve done there started overcrowded and by 7 it’s relatively quiet,
from memory the Marshalls just check wristbands and expect people to wait til they can join the circuit into a gap, so really it’s the fault of the people joining
was the noise meter on the back straight there? It was taken away for maintainance last week
I can log in again & post!
Phew, it’s good to be back. Thanks to MarkPH & Pesky for their assistance.
I really enjoyed my track eve last night, red flags aside.
I did have a S1 Exige epiphany though. What an amazing car. Felt so much more raw & planted than my S2, and that coupled with epic drivetrain, has had me head scratching all day. Thanks to Mark for letting me have a go, but it’s got me wondering, has anyone traded from a S2 Exige to an S1 Exige before??
All the BAT sessions I’ve had at Donnie (quite a few…) always let you in when there’s a gap in the traffic.
All cars had to be noise tested before being allowed onto the track - first time I’ve come across that! Luckily I fixed my exhaust last week, otherwise I’d not have been out on track at all!
Cheers
