Looks Awesome

Dave, you changed the bodywork and painted it black, looks good, but you`ll be in the motorsport class deffo!

Fantastic. Group C cars are the pinnacle!

Unfortunately the Lola T9210 was created just in time for the world sportscar racing scene to go ‘belly up’ but the chassis used for the basis of the Ascari A410 that was used (and won!) in the FIA sportcar series in 2001, you can clearly see the similarities

Did someone mention Group C?

Just another weekend of pushing Group C cars around my parent’s garden… Ho hum…
Doesn’t everyone do that when they visit their folks? (except Randy - he has people to do it for him!)

I’m more jealous than a green eyed monster turning green with envy!

Is that the Spice 88C that Nick Adams used and also the Lancia that Richard Bryan is using this year?
The last picture really gives a good idea of how the LC2 was a little narrower than most other group Cs.
I dont suppose that you have an Jag XJR-14 tucked away anywhere do you Alex?

Alex,

Was that the Ferrari 246 that raced at Brands on Monday?

Azrael:
Yes, the Spice SE88C is the ex Adams car. Dad reunited car and driver a few years ago when the Group C series was in it’s infancy. It was a quick combination, but unfortunately she’s an old girl now and reliability was poor. She’s currently awaiting comprehensive rebuild! The Spice looks wide as it was converted from C2 to C1 geometry with a wide body, when it finished it’s serious racing days out in Japan. Hence the colour scheme/sponsors.

The Lancia is the ex Bryan car, bought from Richard last year. It’s simply stunning, but there are no plans to race it this year as far as I know, as efforts still continue with the little Bardon, which has proved fun and reliable if not exactly rapid.

No Jags… as yet… You never know with my old man…
More info here and here if you want it!

Mark: The Dino 246 wasn’t the one at Brands this weekend, but was raced in the PMFC a few years ago. It was slow obviously, but people were complimentary about how nice it looked!
Half way down this page…

Fascinating stuff Alex, thanks very much!
