Locking 1 front wheel..

After changing the brake disc ,pads and brake hoses. + fluid I have a bit trouble with the front left wheel. It locks up before the right. Actually I have manage to lock up the right one too before the left one. But 85 % of the time its the left front one which locks up first…

I have bleed the system 2-3 times… cant see any more bubbles, also inverted the front caliper. so I think that should be ok… The brake travel feels good… I havent really beded my brakes in the way I wanted (dont have any good roads to do it, and I want to keep my license)…, only driven aprox 500 km with easy/medium braking…

Any suggestion what the problem could be??

Could be any number of things really. Front left disc could be warped slightly, but I think you may be able to feel that at the pedal. Pads may be rubbing more and warming up one side more than the other.

I think, given the fact that you were playing with your ride height a little while back - maybe the front right has more weight over it and the left is relatively unloaded. I dare say that now you’re on new discs and pads your braking is much improved where the old worn set up may have struggled to bring this problem to the surface.

Which side of the car do you sit? That should be heavier and less likely to lock.

It’s a LHD car, so can’t be that.

My money would be on the spring preload adjustments, try to increase your preload on the left front (or do a full corner weight setup)

I’m with Uldis.

I guess it could be that, since I have only driven 500 km I have to adjust the preload all the time to get the correct ride height… Actually I just been out to adjust the preload after a short trip… And I increased the preload on front left with 3/4 of turn to get the correct ride height for now…)… I guess its just a matter of patient… Need some more miles on the car and then it hopefully will be ok…

Thanks guys…
