Take off the stripes and go for all matt black. Or Tim’s suggestion using matt for the black areas.

For what its worth, I liked the white one with the black roof and the red wing end plates.

I’ve arranged to pop down and see the guys at Back on Track on Sat morning and wanted to get my ideas down. Its been really useful as I’ve changed my mind a lot by actually trying it out a few things, and of course hearing the opinions of exigers. For the record I’m with the majority on favoring the first one with a few mods that I’m drawing now.
I sketched the S1 in Inkscape Will from a picture of Rob’s fantastic car I’ll do an S2 outline too when I get a minute.
This is what Im gonna go for. Red detail will come from ‘R’ logos etc. it’s only a wrap so if looks shit then it’s no bother. I think it will certainly be eye-catching

It does look good, I keep changing my mind 
and can’t settle on anything. I have a GT3 in a similar colour scheme as my computer wallpaper at work. It’ll look awesome, good luck. Be interested in the S2 template if you get time.
