Link up question

Hello,

Im going to have a honda k20 installed in my s2 elise and im thinking of using the link up kit, Does anyone know if the RBC manifold fits, or does it foul the bulkhead?

Dave

Doesn’t the Link Up supplier who’s fitting it know, or have you bought a written off car & doing a swap?

As he said ^^

However I think you will find the RBC does foul the bulkhead, it does in an S1 anyhow …

pretty sure it will foul the bulkhead as said

What’s an RBC manifold anyway, cos I don’t know, folks?

Rob,

It’s a longer inlet manifold.

Dave,

If you are getting your Link-Up kit fitted by MSC then they have fitted the RBC to at least one car if not more, but it was f-ing tight.

The company in question is SPS in consett and they were unsure ofthe RBC fitment in elise s2, i suppose they can try and if not a standard IM will have to go on.

Thanks for the clarification, Mark & Dave.

Pesky,

can see the mani on my integra here:

Would really like to get this engine and setup in the back of the elise, it makes 250bhp N/A

Blimey, that is a big bugger!

Pervert!

glad it wasn’t just me

I’ve seen a LU kit with an RBC on a race car. So it can be made to fit.

Dan at SPS can speak to Simon Scuffham to find out the details, I’m sure.

P.S Good choice with SPS. Excellent work.

There is one manifold, that brings more power than a RBC - and is much cheaper too. But nobody seems to know so far!
I know, because i bought jenvey ITB for nothing!

ITBs would sound awesome though. What ECU are you running with them?

HONDATA PRB - what else?
But its hard to map, as its impossible to find settings for 800-3000rpm.
You cannot use MAP-sensor for finetuning, as you dont get reliable valus from it. We just mapped with TPS.
Its ok for racetrack, but awesome for street.
Anyway - the NA Honda is the ultimate engine for the chassis!

Petere, what manifold are you talking about?

I seem to recall Russ going ITB with an Omex ECU??

Yup Russ ran an omex, I will have one for sale soon with loom too. The Hondata is a good bit of kit but I didn’t think it could run ITBs. I know clockwise use an EFI unit to run ITBs

@ Mark: stupid - Its the Accord one.
@ Middo: i know ian uses EFI, but the problem of ITBs is not HONDATA, but position of MAP-sensor. no problem on racetrack, but in everyday driving in public traffic
