Are the front lights jumping whilst driving out a known fault on an S2?
Not nice to see the light slamming into the painwork
07 plate - is this a warrenty issue, and can I ask the dealer to put the paintwork right?
Thanks guys!

i believe from a warranty point of view its called “consequential damage” if something is damagaed as a result of another items failure.
and yes the dealer should fix it.
I have read others reporting the same thing- something to do with the clips from memory. Mine’s 05 and have not had the problem so I guess it’s the luck of the draw. I would go nuts if any resultant damage was not rectified by the warranty. It’s a result of the problem isn’t it so make sure they bloody do it!!
Then I’ll be on the phone tomorrow!
Thanks guys!
A good web site to use for recalls is this http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/default.asp
Lotus did have a service on their web site showing any out standing issue when you put your chassis number in put since they revamp there web site this has been taken of at the moment .
I was told that it would be put back on soon .
Indicator Lamps
There have been loads of problems with the front indicator lamps falling out. Ordinarily this won’t be a major problem but, at speed, it will flap about on the end of the wiring, causing expensive damage to the front clamshell. This and any subsequent damage should be fixed under warranty. It is a good idea to check them regularly and try and fix them in a better way.
I hope this helps .
