Apparantly the ferry companies have had an unprecedented level of cross channel bookings for this year’s event.A few of us have now booked on P & O’s 22.45 from Portsmouth to Cherbourg on Weds 12th June. Return is 11.30 Tuesday 18th June. (83Man - return has changed since we spoke yesterday)We will probably be leaving Bolton at around 12 noon on the 12th, & refuelling/stretching legs at the Warwick services on M40 at 14.30 ish. Next stop (apart from possible refueling) is likely to be Winchester for a bite to eat.Who else is up for it?[This message has been edited by Pesky (edited 10 January 2002).]

Hi guys - Just out of interest - how much are you paying for the channel crossing? I am looking to drive to Monaco during June this year and the cheapest crossing to Calais appears to be about 160. If you have any better ideas, I’d be pleased to hear them…BTW - do the cars go on a ferry without any problems with ground clearance??Cheers - Steve [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]
SteveWe’re travelling Portsmouth - Cherbourg, 282 return (Fast Cat return). With care, cars are loaded on ferry no problem. The P & O guys are used to loading sports cars, particularly during Le Mans time!
Cheers Pesky - I thought that 200 dover-calais sounded expensive, but I guess thats in a similar ball-park…
Steve, If you go to Le Mans and get your return ferry crossings within 5 days, eg Weds to Mon, you get a discount anyway! I’ve found Dover-Calais at 124 and Portsmouth-Cherbourg at 222, both for car + 2 passengers.

Why is your “Exiger” luggage space taken up by huge “Exiger” ICE system Bass Bins? [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]
Giles,I should have thought it was obvious - the Exiger luggage space is going to be full of marquee and BolingerMike
