Hi all,One or two of us are thinking of taking up this offer, www.classicbw.org, (Edit - I’ve noticed that this link isn’t working at the moment - perhaps they tookm it dowm because they were inundated, Basically, this is an invite to a village party for British Sports cars at a village just north of Le Mans city. I am in touch with them and will keep you updated if the site rremains unavailable) whilst at Le Mans.Have a look and see what you think - seems like it could be fun even though its the other side of the city.Other than that, I’ve been going to Le Mans since the early '80s and know lots of suitable things to do! Not least, the ‘Pesky Campsite’ at the Chateau has lots of potential for fun! Sounds much better than on circuit camping which is what I’ve always done in the past. I even know where to go for a decent shower (which simply do not exist at the circuit!)but I suspect the Chateau campsite might be better equipped than the circuit campsites.It’s going to be a great (long) weekend! 14th year to LeMans and I get lost every one.Leaving…er…Portsmouth on Thurs night…I think…maybe this year its time for those noisy orderly TVR’s to move over.

I am going, with a colleague who is also in his Exige.We are camping at “Houx Annexe” might be good to bump into some of you guys.Jon.

What is the name of the bar near the start of the Mulsanne Straight? Great place to meet on the Friday morning.The road is still open to the public in the morning and loads of cars try the straight.Pulled 135 in the 300 a few years ago, before the local onion sellers got in the way.Some were stopping the lorries and buses and were giving them racing starts with a chequered flag. Lots of onlookers, people with a passion for wheels.

LoteukThat pub is Tetre Rouge (stella Artois signs all over it)Last year we used a Bentley flag to stop all the traffic - police weren’t particularly amused!Did you see the nude bloke on the R1?4 weeks to go!Our lot will be up there thursday & friday night, provided they lift our ban from last year…

And yes its going to be a very loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong weekend. One of my favourite parts is the burn back up to the port through the small villages. Onlooker�s galore all cheering you on as you act like a flipin hooligan! Sorry to bring this on line again but does anyone do a top box for all the kit I need for LeMans, I thought an Esprit was tight!!! A trailer is a little awkward to reverse…

Hey Shrap!Just looked at my tickets and I’m in Houx Annexe as well, ok whoever gets there first bags a good spot eh? Hang on…won’t people think Siges are common?? Be there Friday late morning give or take a few hours…er

It seems that since I posted that I have been moved!The tickets came and I am apparently camping at “Karting Nord” which was due to Houx Annexe being full!I should get there Thursday afternoon, there will be two of us in a black (mine) and a laser blue Exige.

There are several Elises in the group I am going with (I am taking the Elise), and i think one Exige, getting there Thursday afternoon. Probably near a Race-Speed banner or something.Will try to save you a spot! I have arrived there before on Friday afternoon and there is no problem getting a space, so if we can’t get you a spot come and say hello!Cheers

Just changed the exhaust on the sige for the benefit of the pit straight and the Mulsanne onlookers in their Buggati’s but the car developed a resonance not heared before on initial acceleration and decelleration/braking.Took the undertray off ‘again’ but nothing touching.Really cheesed off after 2 hours when I found the cigar lighter under the passenger seat rolling around, so the bat and ball is back out and we will go to Le Mans…
