can you provide details on what you had fitted, how much it cost, how effective it is, whether its portable from vehicle to vehicle, if you’ve ever been pulled by a copper who couldnt get a reading etc etc
cheers

snooper sld 99, i think it was about 250, possible to fit it yourself, no its not portable but can be swapped when you change vehicles. No i havnt as what your supposed to do when it goes off is slow down ( if you happened to have strayed over the limit) then swich it off so they do get a reading.

is the fitting difficult? how did you run the wires from the front of the clam into the cockpit? are you s2 or s1?
Ive got an s2. There are two ball aches, the first one is to mount the ir units far enough back to keep them flush with the bodywork (mounted on the top of the grill opening)you have to cut two small sections from the grill. Second is getting the cables from the dash to the front, there is a plastic panel directly infront of the instrument cluster in the bulkhead and there was either already a hole there but with a cover on or i drilled another small hole. Unless you take the dash top off it is a pita to do but possible. I just then took the wheel arch liner off and gaffer taped the cables in place, it may seem a little ruff but saves trying the get solid fixings and means the cables cant wander and chafe.
