Is the ECU reflash that good then? I know it’s been discussed…I’m hanging over the ‘buy it now’ button on hangar 111.
Bruh,
10K on what?

10k on a NA Exige. Well you can get a 265hp Bemani conversion with sports cat/exhaust and a baffled sump for that. That would be one way.
The other way would be 46mm Ohlins, LMS brake upgrade, accusump, 240r wheels, carbon race seat, race battery, 2bular lightweight exhaust and with the other 3/4 K get some engine mods.
Either way i would expect you would be quicker than a std S.

OK, I thought you were keeping it N/A hence the confusion
buy it
Anyway having had a look at my data logging from the driftbox, best lap was 1’22.8 and highest speed through craner was 119.2 mph before getting on the brakes. Glad I switched to the RS15’s for the day, the 14’s wouldn’t have lasted!
Anyone know what times any of the S1 Honda’s were managing? I know I was lapping at the same rate as Walshy in the Camel S1.
Not that a t’day is about putting in times but to put this discussion in context Randy put in a 1:17.21 driving Quo’s SC Honda S1 roadcar in the 05 TunerGP…Randy is a bit handy though…ooo that rhymes
Well on knackered tyres, slippery cold surface and in a ‘Lardy’ 240R (is that enough track day excuses?)… I’m well pleased with my times then!

Aye but its not about times on a t’day anyway innit…good job for me

Is data logging allowed on LOT days?
As long as you don’t have any timing displays visible in the car and look at it when you get home (laptops in the pits might get strange looks anyway) I can’t see a problem, no different to video in lots of ways really and every other car seems to do that.

Any timing, by a driver, passenger or spectator is a big No No, on any trackday (LOT or otherwise), as it invalidates everyone’s insurance - circuit operator/trackday organiser/car driver.
I wish peeps would STOP posting times, & generally talking about who is quicker than who, & in what car, on this & every other bloody forum Trackdays are about having fun, not being competitive. If peeps want to race, then damn well go racing, & don’t get trackdays stopped for the rest of us.
Whilst I’m on a roll, I think it’s about time that “race teams” were banned from using trackdays as cheap test days - I’m not talking about the folk who are doing LOTRDC here, I mean those bods who are competing in eg Brit Gt/Britcar/Porsche Cup/Clio Cup. Whilst I really enjoy watching them on a test day, they have no place on a trackday for us mere mortals!

Amen! Im not the quickest out in me alpinestars, but i still have good fun
Sorry Pesky… will not post any futher times on the forum, got carried away after having such a good fun day at Donnington, was great to put a face to the name btw!
Just out of interest, how does timing and Video stand do you think? As this will give the same timing info as my basic logger?
I gave up racing due to being too poor and to be honest not enjoying the stress of the whole thing on what was supposed to be a hobby (and only getting an hour and a half of frantic track time out of an entire weekend!) but I do still like to get home and see how both I and the car are doing, hence the basic logging. I would stress I don’t have the laptop and software with me, so can’t see what I’m doing during the day, only when bored at home…
Hey, no need to apologise, mate, comments not aimed at anyone in particular - just thought it appropriate to remind peeps of the score!
I think it’s only the timing, & reviewing thereof, at the trackday, that’s the problem - could put pressure on peeps to drive beyond their capabilities, & then be a danger to themselves, & to others. I have been at trackdays where folk on the pitwall have a had a bollocking for timing “mates” with their mobile phones.
As I’ll never be going racing (unless I win the Lottery!), I really don’t want trackdays to be curtailed, cos I enjoy them so much (not only the driving, but the whole social event of meeting like minded petrolheads!).
I like to video my day incase anything happens, it all adds up to the fun of the day imo.
the end result is always good youtube footage.
my time came from that as do most forum times I think.
So on the day you have no idea whats going on.
as you can see from my lap I drive way within the cars limits.unlike a lot of people on track days I find.
I agree that more and more race teams seem to be doing track days and seem to drive how they like on them which is very bad.
I also saw the Camel S1 lock up wheels at the bottom of craner on Saturday when he should not have been trying to get past a car there.
But on the whole Donnington was very very good as there were no novice drivers out there.
But yes people have to rembember its a track day.

As per mine and Pley’s experience on a Trackzone day at Donnington a few weeks ago.
We were in the advanced group and I beleive the only non-race cars in it (which were all on slicks).
Marshalls let you out fo the pitlane irrespective of what was coming down the straight (it wasn’t a test or practice session for christ’s sake).
Pley got overtaken on the inside of Redgate and then in the middle of the Craner Curves. I nearly got wiped out by a Subaru race car going into the Craners and had a Seat Cupra Cup car hound me through Coppice and then slow down and weave to warm his tyres in front of me after I let him by.
It was basically like a test session. I think trackdays and testing are 2 distinctly different events and there should never be any crossover.
So for me, Trackzone are one to avoid.

I was a passenger in the white exige, that moved over to LET the camel car through at the bottom of craners. unfortunately there was a wee bit confusion between the drivers, but thats par for the course sometimes.
