Saving a few lives. I doubt they’ll actually use it, as it’d be a bit like giving police guns, the villains need to tool up more and everything escalates; if you’re the sort that tries to outrun a police car and this chases you you’re likely to try harder and be more likely to kill yourself and/or others.
Also, I’m not sure some police driver training would transfer well to this sort of vehicle.
I was thinking about the supposed handling characteristics might prove fatal,not hoping for the demise of the boys in blue
