lack of juicy topics

Getting bored now - no juicy topics - come on boys we must be able to get a nice thread going

Well … I’m at peace with the Americans…
I’ve given up Maccy D,s (uncle P)…

And there’s no heatsoke cos its winter …
I’ve run out of people to banter with !!!

I hate everyone and I dare you to prove me wrong…

I have an idea, not quite juicy but certainly blender related

Linky

Wouldn’t it be suitable to edit a best-of of KingK “an hitchicker guide to the Rover galaxy” ?

Yeah everything has gone quiet on inter-warmers

There hasn’t been an Ohlins v Nitron row for a while

The brake pad row is bubbling along OK

We could start talking about repackable silencers again if you like, that seemed to be quite eventful last time. hahaha

Maybe I should start my engine rebuild thread, that might draw a few “opinions”

Well our kid’s Toyota has just gone pop and my VHPD hasn’t so one may conclude from this that a VHPD is a more reliable means of combustion than the Toyota?

EFA

But your kid’s lad hasn’t driven your VHPD powered rocket, has he?:D:D Not that young Phil can’t drive…it’s his mechanical sympathy which may require an odd tweak

Ok… been keeping this under wraps for a while now.
put a cosy engine in my exige!
pics to follow once my camera battery has charged up.

not just an engine transplant but the whole works!

Could do - my own re-packable designs will be out soon.

is that a change in direction.

meh, I’ve had a re-packable since I had the 7"dia Ti-skinned silencers 3 years ago.
I don’t trust Ti hanger rods on the 2zz-ge cars, the mounts have no flex whatsoever, so it made sense to have Stainless on the bits that mattered - end-caps/perf core pipe/hanger rods. Never had to re-pack one yet. Comparatively expensive though.
There’s two distinct markets - Road and Race.
The H2’s are quieter but there’s a weight penalty and some of the race teams I supply have been asking for a lighter solution. They don’t have to meet the lower db noise limits that the road cars have to face on circuit.
Road car owners, in general, do not want to have to get under the car every once in a while and re-pack the silencer!
Also, the materials I’m using are becoming VERY expensive. There’s other packing out there - lower-grade but it’s lighter and if you can re-pack, it doesn’t matter (to a race team) if it blows out.
If you use the correct materials, you only need a re-packable on a hi-power SC install - N/A’s, (even the Honda conversions) and Turbos are pussycats.
I’ll be offering the re-pack cartridge pre-rolled/packed on a tube for easy insertion/swap-out. I don’t trust racers to pack a bag.
