I was watching the Touring cars today and wondered what a good time for an Exige was around Knockhill (in the dry).
Anybody know?

Good time from 59 secs (MS Elise) to the average about 63.
I have never timed myself but some people told me they have seen about 62 at one stage or another, so there you go.
Wanted always to stay as far away as possible from times…
The fastest TCs were doing just over 55secs. So they’re fast.

I think there’s a possibility he might be at Knockhill a week on thursday, driving the new Exige, so I’ll let you now what time he laps in.

Sorry for being quiet for so long, things have been pretty hectic with events and study, I’ve not got to the PC as much as I would like.
Anyhow, dug this info out for you. In 2001 in the Autobytel race series we were lapping mid 55 sec’s. At this time it was faster than the TC’s.
Not sure what an S1 or S2 Exige will do round there.
Keep it on the black stuff.

IDG - 55secs round KH is bleedin quick… I’d say mere mortals driving standard road going machinery were around 7-10 secs a lap slower than that from what i hear talked about in the pit lane
7 seconds is A LOT at KH and any circuit that’s just over a mile long !!
