Key fob button fix for S1 Meta M300 key

Hi guys, just thought I would share this fix I found over on Pistonheads for anyone with a knackered S1 Meta key fob: Elise meta key fob button replacement - Page 1 - Elise/Exige/Europa/340R - PistonHeads UK

Basically you can replace the perished rubber button with a modified one from a Smart ForTwo (fully in keeping with the Lotus parts-bin philosophy :wink: ) I thought about spraying the button with black Plastidip but I think it looks good as it is in ‘Lotus yellow’ :sunglasses:

The buttons are easily found online, I got one from eBay for £2 delivered: http://ebay.co.uk/itm/151236717032 :thumbup:

Mine certainly was. Having said that I replaced the lot recently. Great fix :thumbup:

When mine was at Hofmanns they used a rubber grommet, I’ll post a pic it looks better than new!
