Hi All,

For a long time I ran my car with a decat pipe. Helps with the pops, bangs and flame throwing much enjoyed by S1 owners! :smiley: However, I sacrificed a few bhp and put the cat back in for track days so that I wouldn’t get black flagged…my car being otherwise over the limit.( I checked this with a db reader) :frowning: I’m keen to have the decat back on for track days, and want to know whether there are any simple (and cost effective) ways other owners have employed to muffle the sound, but still enjoy the flow benefit of a decat pipe. (Other than fitting a high flow sport cat)

What you need is a silenced Cat relacement pipe such as HERE (No recommendation - there are several to choose from)

Funny I have not found that, because when I had me de-cat on, there were indeed pops and flames… but now with the Silenced de-cat fitted there are not!

Saves the paint though!
