Keeping helmet in the boot

I was just wondering if anyone has ever measured how hot it gets in the boot of an exige? I was pondering because i’m sure i’ve read that you shouldn’t store your helmet anywhere over 60c or it will invisibly damage the polystyrene inner shell.
I’m not that bothered about my S2 as it only really gets warm enough to dry your coat between sessions, but don’t the S1’s forgo the dividing wall bit?

Hot enough to melt your sleeping bag as i found out to my horror at Le Mans 2004…

Sorry just spotted something…Lotus of the month hey

I can’t fit a helmet in the boot of my S1 - there’s just not enough room between the clam and the airbox.

They ran out of other people
Don’t worry, it never stays clean for long:

Really? Mine goes in OK but I have trimmed the (black plastic) side trim a bit. I also use a soft bag.

if you have a Honda lump in, then you will melt every thing
tee hee inc you boot liner and body work.

I think with so much STD about it’s best to keep it in a boot.

Front or rear compartment

What is that supposed to be - he looks nothing like me or my helmet?
