After 2 years of amazing motoring courtesy of mr DVA’s handiwork the engine has performed faultlessly (as expected) no expense has been spared in regard to servicing, about 9K miles now under the belt, I have been fortunate to be in the right place at the right time (well the better half would disagree) andam looking at another DVA creation this time 240+BHP animal
So the trusty servant is up for sell…
I have visited Dave’s today to confirm the condition of the engine…
After Dave�s beady eye had taken a closer look the verdict is…
She is in fantastic shape!!! nicely run-in with top compression in all cylinders and a good chance of my Logo of “superlight DVA 207” being surpassed now it is run-in…
So if anyone is thinking about a winter upgrade this would really suit a caterham/elise installation running an emerald already, the spec is as follows:
1800cc K-Series EU3
Scholar 1800cc conversion, Inc fettled oilways for better flow
New Crank when built Inc a bronze bush (replacing the spigot bearing, it is a lot quieter!!!)
Rare single tang rods
Omega forged pistons (fully floating small ends)
VVC head inc.std VVC valves, hydraulic lifters with blanking kit inc.DVA�s �quick and dirty� port
Verniers, correctly timed
BH285 cams
Manual cam belt tensioner
Jenvey Throttle Bodies fully balanced and fettled to suit the head
Bernard Scouse airbox Inc fuel rail, fuel regulator and uprated Vauxhall (Bosch) injectors.
Fully mapped by emerald, map available to an existing emerald user.
The only thing you would need is:
Emerald ECU
EU3
Sump pan (I was running a pace dry sump system, which I am retaining. I will include an oil pump for non dry sump applications)
Exhaust preferably a powerspeed 4-2-1 or any 4-2-1
Alternator
Starter
For your information this car was quite capable of holding it own against the R500’s at Le Sept last year (more useable torque than the R500 out of corners)
I am looking for around �4K complete (this cost �5500 if speced now with Dave!!)
