I can strongly recommend one of these to anyone that uses their car on a daily basis!
- Bluetooth Handsfree
- Improved audio quality over Touring Pack’s Alpine 9850
- Removal Reminder (it beeps and ejects the faceplate)
- Better screen
- Simpler controls
Very simple install (on my S2 at least) Take out old radio, plug in new one and feed the microphone cable.
Only slight hitch was my phone is a PDA type thing (M3100) and the Pioneer bluetooth didn’t automatically detect it. Found a fix to this on the 'Net and now connects flawlessly everytime I get in the car.
Handsfree quality is excellent, audio mutes automatically and no additional bracket/switches/etc inside the car, just push a button on the radio to accept / hang up.
Macman rating 4.5 stars (would have got a full 5 if my phone had worked straight out of the box)
Cost 240, going to recoup some of that by flogging the original Alpine.
