Just bought an Azure Exige

Thought I would introduce myself as I’ve just bought an Exige (Azure, build 0063). I also have an S1 Elise but always wanted an Exige and couldn’t resist when I saw one in my favourite colour of Azure.

I just noticed a thread on it here too - it’s the one that was auctioned at Historics and then bought by Bell & Colvill, I bought it from them last week. Car appears to have spent some time in NI in storage but seems to me to be in very good condition. If anyone knows any more about its history I would love to know!

Cheers,
Andrew

Welcome Andrew, congratulations on the purchase.

Yes there was a thread on that car, mostly wondering why some of the decals were missing. I think this car was owned by mrabaird on here who lives in NI :+1:

Congratulations - l’m biased but can’t beat a S1 :+1::grin:

Welcome to Exige’s!

Hi Andrew

I sold the car to the previous owner. It was indeed from NI I bought it from a chap in Cheshire that was the guy that brought it over the water. It was sent straight up to Phoenix in accrington for a C service and check over as it has been in storage for a number of years. The guy that I sold it to I believe had it repainted as it was completely original when I had it and was about ready for some cosmetic tidying nothing serious but he was a perfectionist. I took a Porsche 911 in PX from him that was in sensational condition.

It’s a really good car anyway and with the cosmetics sorted it must be near perfect now. It certainly drove well.

That probably explains the missing shark fin stone guards on the rear wings and badges on the rear. Removed for a respray. Those are easily (and cheaply) available, reapplied will make it look great and finish it up.

Great to see it back with an owner so it is getting enjoyed again

Stunner, congratulations on the purchase.

Seen a new V6 in Azure recently which gave me a bit of a lob on tbh.

Always loved that colour. Glad you have come along to join us. Where are you located?

:joy::rofl:

My favourite colour for an S1 - it looks fantastic. Hope you enjoy ownership.

Lovely looking car, my favourite colour for a S1. Enjoy! :sunglasses::+1:

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Thanks also Jon for that additional information, really helpful.

I’m usually based in West Sussex but now overseas for a few months. Looking forward to giving it a run in the summer and hopefully meeting some of you!

Without doubt, the best possible colour for an S1 :thumbup:
