Jenvey help please

i am looking to buy some jenvey DTH tb`s and have been offered a set second hand. i had planned to buy new but these are cheap enough to warrant my attention!

my question is, how many varients do jenvey do and what am i looking for ideally? i have been offered 42mm tbs with the bore of the inlet being 34mm, this is standard k series 120 spec head iirc. i run a rover motorsport evo5 spec head which has far bigger inlet ports. i cant seem to find anything giving me more info than the actual tb size (ie 42mm). i take it they do something bigger than 34mm?

hopefully that makes sense!

any help appreciated

no-one??

I’m sure Dave (DVA) will be along soon with an opinion.

The TBs as cast have a 34mm port entry, this tapers from 42mm at the barrel to 34mm at the face. There are made this way so they can be matched to any size of inlet port. All you have to do is to match the manifold face of the TB to the manifold face of the head by fettling the TBs. If the ports are very large you may need to move the TBs up a MM or two on the head manifold face, you can do this by fettling the bolt holes on the TBs a little.

42mm TBs are good for over 230BHP.

thanks dave, that works for me!
