January Northern meet?

I’ve contacted the pub & lunch is 12.00 to 3.00pm.

Weather forecast looks ok (i.e. no ice or frost), chance of rain though.

What say we meet there at 11.00am for some tyre kicking etc & take it from there?

Sounds good to me, nice 2hr drive for me

Good for me Tim

Steve do you want to meet at Rheged at 1015ish

Sounds good Adrian 10.15 at Rheged

See you at Rheged Steve and ad_S , sorry but I will be in the van and driving upto Dumfries and not Kirkstone.

See you there about 1015

Hope everyone has a coat it’s a bit wet

Thanks all for turning up on such a grey day

Only 3 Lotus & 5 hardy souls, but the company and food was great, unlike the weather - it lashed it down all the way home through the lakes. At least the roads were quiet.

Those young cyclists were a keen bunch pedalling all the way up Kirkstone for a beer & grub, especially having got wet through trying :eh:

Hopefully we’ll see Mr Pesky & gp_fisher at another one sometime soon eh guys? I hope your day turned out well

Sorry no pics, horizontal rain & the cold wind put a stop to that .

Yep great food great company, those cyclists must have been freezing, I was and I wasn’t even soaked through unlike them.

Definitely up for another one sometime and will try turn up in Exige next time.

Thanks for arranging it.

Those cyclist must have something missing to ride up there in weather like that. Great food and great chat, hopefully get along to the next one.

Nice to meet you Tim, Pete and Mrs Pete and of course Sherman

I certainly aim to be at the next meeting( before Anglesey?). Well done, lads, for turning out.

Great food and chat but very soggy weather.

It was way too cold and wet for Shrek to make an appearance though

Shame about the weather chaps, it was dry when we left you at Rheged but pi**sd it down after Carlisle but cleared up again at 1.00 ish

What did Sherman have for lunch ?

Well he was eyeing up the food on the next table ha ha

Beef by any chance

He had his breakfast (& a walk) before we set off for Rheged.

He still managed a few bits of my steak & ale pie though

He spent a fair bit of time looking at the next table, but they had chips. Sherman doesn’t ‘do’ chips
