It's Official

It’s Official, my car or should I say my Lotus Exige is the Best of British Supercars according to EVO Magazine’s Supercars special publication.

It appears in full colour eight times on Pages 128, 129, 130, 131 of a 260 page book

I had to buy a copy to keep with the cars history

you should at least scan the article so we can all share your excitement

I would do but I would have to break the spine of the book to do it

You call Evo a “book”! You should get out more

I thinks hes on about one of those Evo book things

Can’t wait for next year’s edition - the Europa is to get a full 30 pages all on it’s own.

Every time I start getting drawn into the idea of spending lots of money on upgrades I remind myself of Jethro’s words in that orginal EVO review: “if you think you need more, you’ll probably never be satisfied”. Er, excepting of course the ECU reflash which I am about to have done

About to have done?
Not waiting for the Emerald then Mark?

Not waiting for the Emerald then Mark?

Well, I was going to wait but not so sure now. Sounds to me like it might be very long wait for the Emerald (anyone know different?), and will only be worth it if you are going to have other mods. Most of the evidence I have heard seems to suggest that potential gains from tuning mods on the NA exige (cams, manifold etc) are likely to be quite small, and by the time you add up the cost of Emerald, cams, labour for fitting and mapping etc you are looking at a lot more money. The Lotus reflash seems to get a big thumbs up from those who have had it, and is a minimal hassle option (10 mins to remove the ECU, send it off to Hangar 111, get it back in a week apparently).
