IT LIVES!!!!!

Well, as most of you will know, 2 years, 8 months and 21 days ago, I pulled my car to bits to do a bit of cleaning. That kinda got out of hand and turned into a full rebuild.

Last night, for the first time since she fell silent at Easter 2 and a half years ago, tonight she spluttered back into life for the first time.

THIS is how an Exige should sound. VHPD with some DVA head-magic, HMI’d crank, 1444s and a large dose of attitude!

Proud dad post!

Well done matey what an epic journey, it’s almost time to start using her as god intended and start wringing her neck on the open road/circuit.

Good on you,…well done that man.

Awesome news George!

On behalf of everyone at Exiges.com I’d just like to say…‘Finally!’

EXCELLENT!!!

I hope you have an ‘expert’ tuner down there who can map your Emerald properly on a rolling Road!

Car sounds and looks awesome… my VHPD was almost the same spec as yours and once Dave Walker had mapped it , it sounded very smooth and sweet… as Dave A commented a few weeks ago if it is too lumpy then it is not set up right!

Get the clam on and get it out on track now!!! :sunglasses:

Fantastic stuff. Got a lot of respect for your patience, dedication and attention to detail, really is a top job.

But 2.5 years  I get twitchy after 2.5 days…

Pete… no Emerald on board my ship… it’s all Motec gear inside

Good job George - a new start is always exciting, even more so after so much time.

Shame I cant listen to it yet due to China censorship

Time to get the Cup 260 Clive!

you are lucky not having any noise restrictions over there so here is one with similar spec to yours but fitted with a LOTUSPOWER silencer which I hope will be Ok noisewise.

see you

THUMBS UP!!!

I am sure everyone feels the same as I imagine you must have felt - serious satisfaction and some secret minor relief that nothing went wrong

Well Done. It looks and sounds the business. :sunglasses:

I’ve followed progress from the startand been mightily impressed with your efforts. Starting that engine must have been a great moment. Well done.

George

Epically sorry to hear about the motor. Given you some more exiges.com stars, your effort certainly deserves them & more!!

:astonished:

Small consolation at the moment has got to be that all your online documenting has made it one of the most desirable originals out there. Hard to believe you will take time off, given your energy thus far, but for now perhaps:

You and your S1 are already legend. A little time off won’t change that! :sunglasses:
