I,m considering a CUP car but it seems a bit pricy compared with non cup versions . why??
You get a bit of rarity, plus a fancy build plate and some tasty extras as standard e.g. ohlins adjustable suspension, harnesses (usually) including sportier seats and some carbon panels - all of which can be fitted to a non-cup car.
Also no sound deadening (or radio) and some FIA spec fuel and battery cut offs. A tad more raw than the regular and similarly powered versions.
Not for 43k.
Go for it Clive - you’re only here once & you’re an old git (like me)
Cracking spec cars, & a good compromise between the “hard S1” & “soft S2” - terms which you will understand given your previous ownership experience.
PS I still can’t believe that Tricia wants to do some touring with you in an Exige. Would love to see some inboard video of the ensuing human interaction
PPS I presume you haven’t traded her in too? .
For a car for touring I would stick with the 240PP cars or the RGB is you can afford one, the Cup for your purpose sounds a little to raw no radio or air con
If you want to take the Mrs out in the car, best not to listen to the hardcore S1/S2 types on here aka Pesky & Ade
Unless you want it to all end in tears…
I have met Mrs Young, so I think Clive’s on a loser whatever happens
PS Just to be clear, Mrs Y is lovely, but I don’t think she is blessed with “exigeness” like her hubby
Well, have sorted the spec but the one on PH is TOOOOOOOO expensive … shame
Exigeness…I like it …she is a bit but by touring I mean trip to local handbag shop for some shoes…NOT in Italy.
240 pp Orange is my spec. Watch this space
Grellow was advertised at ÂŁ36K recently
Sprint might suit the bill if I can get to like the split colour scheme.

Good look finding one. Low miler 240s are rare never mind limiting the colour. I predict you will stretch the net to other colours
Saw a yellow over white Evora at Hethel last week and it looked amazing
Keeps the riff raff away
Another option is an older S 2006. Rated @ 214. But can I get an upgrade to 240.??
I would be tempted to get a nice 220 and the do the 260 upgrades
Blue over white is much better than yellow IMHO… Mine is going to be in with Hangar 111 for at least another week if you are nearby and wanted to check the colour scheme out - needless to say it’s not for sale!
I saw a new yellow sprint 240 at HHC back in the day. I thought it looked fab
Is a "cup"260 worth the premium?
.oh dear … yes it is…see you on track soon
Good man Clive
So you decided against the Sprint at B&C?
