Irratic Stack display RPM needle after Emerald fit

Can anyone offer any advice as to why the Stack display rpm needle drops away when i remove my foot off the accelerator anywhere from 2-3500rpm to suddenly jump back to where the needle was before i lifted off.

Its only just began to happen after installing an Emerald M3DK ECU. Have you got any ideas Dave please? Its along way to drive home from NZ to get this one nailed. Many thanks in anticipation.

Can’t answer your question but I have a mate who’s just bought an Elise with the same problem on the speedo (I reckon his problem is the sensor, but haven’t had a chance to look yet).

The seller had the Emerald fitted (a couple of weeks ago) so it’ll be interesting to see if there’s a issue here.
