Evening all - apologies if this ones been discussed to death before. But has anyone wirelessly linked up an iphone to the OBDII interface? Using the iphones GPS and accelerometer it can chuck out some pretty sweet intel, straight to your phone, all the usual temp, fuel, speed, rpm…but also HP, G force too! About 30 odd gauges… Obviously not for use on a track.
I have the Kiwi wifi , it gives all the gauges and data logs five chosen at a time , you can also email the data , it has auto lap timing with GPS overlay on google maps that’s cool , It tells you how fast you was going into corners and how much G and throttle , best lap times and auto 0-60 and fault code reader and reset .
Which software do your run with the Kiwi? REV?
I heard that there the update rate on the iphone with REV was very slow… Correct?
Are you satisfied with this solution?
It’s the ODB that’s slow, dont think it makes a difference which reader you have.
Does anyone know of a decent plug in OBD reader? I tried a ScanGaugeII but doesnt work.
works at 1Hz, so one reading of data per second…
Rev is fine as is Dashcommand…
Any similar apps for Android out there ?
Yes i use Rev , it seems fast enough to me .
I think PLX Kiwi do a bluetooth version for Android with the same app.
