Just come through today - 16th November at JCT in Leeds - shall I go ???
I guess there will be no chance of a test drive? Seems all most too early to make it worthwhile!
But yes, definately go
Yeah and report back , will save me going , I have seen 100s of photos and video of it, just need to bloody drive it !
Got my invite through this week also - as it was the main reason i turned up there a few weeks ago only to find the car missing, I’ll probably make the effort again.
Yep I will be going for a peek
Just had my invite too
Not gone - lots of reasons why
- Wife has pranged my ‘other’ car
- Puddy cat is sick - had to go to vets. Dearer than JSR !!!
What did I miss ???
Not a lot, I wager, Chris. Best waiting for the new year when there are real cars to have a go in. Personally, I have no doubt it will be stunning, especially on the road.
Thanks for that. Could have picked a better colour though.
Don’t like the wheels and the rear end looks more kit car than some of the recent photo’s - maybe it’s the way the number plate has just been bodged on
And before JF starts posting video’s again I’m not moaning I’m having an opinion
Chris, funnily enough the colour was mentioned by nearly everyone that they could of sent a ‘better’ colour - it really didn’t do it any justice to show things off BUT it was only an engineering mule so maybe they’re saving the best till Jan/Feb next year for the official launch
Number plate does look like an after thought, hope they tidy that area up a bit
Its the bit I dislike the most.
How might they tidy it up though? Create a stepped down notch in the bumper so that the plate doesn’t look like its just resting on the top so much?
I’d guess that there is a minimum height that the plate has to be?

If an S2 is gay a V6 S3 is super gay - nothing to see hear Mr Fox - jog on foxy !!!
Eh … Funny thing I went to the Lotus party yesterday at the LA Auto Show and all Lotus had on display were a few Evora and a tee shirt rack…
No new Esprit until 2014… Seriously Lotus are not thinking ahead without a strong US market… No one wants the Evora and now no ugly Exige V6.
I have to say I like it in that colour, but the rims would be stacked up in the garage by the end of the first week. Too much like jap bling
I think it looks much better in the flesh than in any photos I’ve seen to date. The front looks very good from the splitter to the lights.
I’m not too sure about the plastic grating used on the engine cover, side vents and front bonnet.
It was a good opportunity to sit in one and see that whilst the cabin was all very familiar there was actually more lateral room than in a normal S2 Exige.
They fired the engine up 2 or 3 timnes whilst I was there and the exhaust note did sound very good when blipping the throttle - not sure if it had a standard exhaust or not though.
