Interior Light

Removed the interior light housing today as I thought that the bulb had failed.

Bulb seems ok but the is no electrical connection to the light! I am assuming that it has come off and fallen into the gap between the engine/cabin bulkhead.

Any idea as to how to find it?

Cheers,

Rich

Panel off or try and fish it back out with a metal coat hanger.

Or put the light back in and don’t bother with it (how often do you use the car at night)

Cant be arsed with taking the panel off, especially as I have a harness bar.

Tried fishing for it with a wire coat hanger… tfd.

So, as suggested, back in place and never to be used again!

Does the interior light have its own fuse? If so pull it.

Shared fuse with the alarm. Best leave it in!

You could try something like this to fish them out

I’ll take a look when their website works!

Does this one work?

That works. Might try a boroscope from work.

Or have a go with this which also includes hooks… DIY Store | Home Improvement | ALDI UK

Got the Aldi inspection camera and still can’t locate the end of the wire!

Might have a look at removing the rear cabin bulkhead panel over the winter.

Don’t look for the wire end. Just look for a thin pink one.
Should be coming from the passenger side, strapped to the cross beam and close to the rear bulkhead.
There is more than one pink though, so pull gently.

Thanks for that, I’ll try looking again over the weekend.
