Not used the Silva Machine on the road recently so went out for a run today :smiley:

Super run through Derbyshire, Snake Pass,etc until 5 miles from home, stuck in 5th :unamused:

RAC called - excellent service - car delivered hone

Reckon its the selector cable that;s failed- blimey it’s £270 plus VAT :crazy: - excellent I have a spare : :smiley:

Chap who collected me related that yesterday he took a sick LaFerarri to Cornwall but because their insurance cover was limited to £1Mill the owner had to fork out another £3k insurance to get it home :crazy: - supercar ownership don’t come cheap :smiley: :smiley:

Exige ownership is never boring.

Looking forwards to taking mine out next weekend to go to Silverstone for the PH Sunday Service and watch the BGT and Caterham racing :thumbup:

The thing more surprising than the £3k is that the AA recovered it. After paying that much for a motor vehicle you’d expect a chopper to come and pick you up and a Ferrari truck to arrive to deal with the car.

btw the gear selector cable had come adrift at gearbox end - now sorted :smiley:

Always worth adding a cable tie to the spring clip just for added protection from that happening again. It’s a pain in the arse to lose the gears so worth doing. :slight_smile:
