anybody else with these issues & are there any known fixes, the local dealer is unsure if there are any mods/repairs available & will be contacting “lotus” as car still under warrany.
There are some changes that can be made, a metal ring is riveted in the opening to strengthen the plastic, this seemed to help on mine. But in the end I just double side taped it on first then used the jubilee clip for extra support.
When I had an Exige S I had the same problem. I had the metal strip riveted in as a fix. Within five minutes of leaving the dealer, it came off again. I asked for the clip that the 240R uses which is a better design than the large jubilee clip and then used double sided tape round the whole moulding. Never had a problem again.

The big issue is the excessive drivetrain movement, if you take a look at the mods I’ve made with the mounts you will be a happy camper… I’ve posted pics on http://www.monkeytuner.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=847
