Anyone know the diameter of the connecting hose for either side of the intercooler on a Exige 220S?
I dont know the measurements, but do you know there is a modification kit for it which is fitted FOC by Lotus if your Intercooler inlet pipe keeps coming off.
Is that for the cooling air inlet or for the charge air that is getting cooled. The inlet pipe from the roof intake to the intercooler on mine keeps coming off but I just keep re-fitting it. It hasn’t come off for about a month now though.
try abit of double sided tape in the middle, it stopped mine coming off.
But i think the original poster is inquiing about the charge air pipes not the cooling pipes…i will measure mine later.
The Samco flexible sections have 63mm stamped on them so assume that is the ID.
Have just had the intercooler feed pipe mod and it has as much to do with buckling of the hard plastic sections when the clips are tightend as the clips continually falling off.
Yep Im talking about the fresh air intake from the roof duct (the one that keeps coming off on most peoples cars). They insert some solid object so that the jubilee clip has something to grip onto properly along with other assorted bits and bobs.
Cheers Rob, any idea how long they are? I have found them in 73mm lengths. Does this sound about right?

All four are just over 61mm so assume 60mm nominal. You’re not going to get chavved up with blue or red ones are you?
Chavved up! Rob I’m offended. No not blue or red but Orange to go with the chrome orange paintwork. Its just an idea at the Mo. However I did look into the possibility of a Burberry spark plug cover and some interior mats

Ah colour coding might be acceptable. Let me know where you can get that Burberry paint for the spark plug cover!
