Inter warmer shocker!

Well it appears I was down on power at Angelsey, with the rush to get my done in time the fitter at Sinclaires failed to put the earth leed back on for the charge cooler pump. No pump no cold water water = less power, not sure how much, maybe as much as 20 or 30hp. I’m in now way annoyed with Sinclaires for them to be able to pull out all the stops to have the car back to me was a miracle on its own, but next trackday I will have more power

When and where is your next outing ? I am probably following you and having the 300 BHP+/- sincs kit but have only tried the kit without the charge cooler. Would be interested to have a look at yours to see how it all fits. I am sure it’s fast but would like to see it all in situ.

Tks

Interesting Ade!

What’s the next step for me after the Gotham?

The injectors will have a lot more scope to play with, so I guess its pulley and charge cooling? But can the ECU be mapped to suit?

I live in Southend Essex, I’m not sure when my next trackday is maybe we could sort out to go to the same Seloc meet or something?

Depends where you finally want to be, the more you do at once the cheaper the mapping costs are, you could add the charge cooler with no map change which is good, the ECU is good for any tune you want, however the fuel pump is close as soon as you drop pulley size and the clutch WILL fail so be prepared for those costs as well. PM me your number and I could ring you…

Driver training. Seriously, there is no point in having the power without the ability to use it.

Aye, even my uprated tintercooler and TRD airbox could not stop me being overtaken on Saturday… May have to loose one of the cup holders?? less is more and all that

Your next upgrade is an S1

Who says I cant?!

(ok i’m not the greatest but best not to assume )

I do agree where you are coming from, and do have instruction, but I would like more power too thanks Speed freak and all that…! Plus my car gets road use too!

Hi Ade, not planning on doing anything just yet but was just interested in the process for now. So do Sinclaires have the ability to tweak the ECU?

Full mapping service, no piggy backs
Mine is re mapped for each change, they now have loads of my maps in use on other cars for people who don’t want to pay for the bespoke service

Superb, I didn’t know that

I was wondering if adding the Lotus TRD airbox would do anythin untoward to my AFR. I know it’s only a small change in airflow but in my mapping exerience, sometimes strange things can happen! Wayne was interested to know my AFR result once i’ve done it

I can’t see how it would make any real difference, the MAF tube (the most impotant bit) is unchanged so the ECU will still read the correct amount of air at all times, I never saw a difference when I added mine, which I still run now as I don’t want any more induction noise, its really loud as it is

Sinclaires did a bespoke map on the original ECU for my Katana install with a few mods like induction, cat & exhaust and got 255bhp
