Until last year I only owned one car at a time so insurance renewal was an easy (but often frustrating) task of ringing around for quotes. Last year when I bought a Golf as the daily mule I just added it to my existing policy for the Exige with AON which with hindsight was possibly a daft (and maybe expensive) way of doing it.
So a bit of advice please. For those who own a daily runaround car and keep the Exige as a weekend/trackday toy do you insure them on a multi-car policy or do separate policies. If separate policies I presume the no-claims is used for the daily runaround and the Exige is covered by a specialist company on limited mileage without NCD?
My insurance is due in just over a month but rather than leaving it to the last minute (like I usually do) I thought I’d try and get a bit organised for once.

Competition car insurance saved me over 600 on my premium. They are absolutely awesome to deal with as well. You get 4 or 5 days free track day cover with the policy as well.
"Blond" mode on
Is that for both cars or just the Exige?
"Blond" mode off

Mine are on their own policies not a multicar jobby. Its worth shopping round because one firm wanted 2K to insure my car, competition car insurance did it for a LOT less with track cover.
Competition Car Insurance did me a great policy - separate policies
