Just got the renewal through for the insurance from competion cars (597.00)and they are trying to slide an increase in exess through, then add insurance tax (for a legal obligation mind you that is really another tax on the motorist ) admin fee 30 quid, arrangemnet fees etc etc GRRRR.
Any recomendations for an alternative that tollerates moding and allows track days
E-sure said they would insure it for just over 400
Depends how many miles but I used classicline broker in Hinckley and have mine on a future classic policy. Flat rate doesn’t use ncb and are mod and trackday friendly.

Give Henderson Taylor a bell - speak to Matthew (ex Autotorque) Ins includes 6 ‘free’ TD’s PA
Thats either not that expensive or I’m getting reemed. Just shy of 1000! 33 years young, 8 years ncb and unlimited miles. All mods declared (apparently only adds 100 regardless) and 4 td’s included.
I wouldnt get cheap insurance as you may pay dearly if you need to make a claim. I’d stay away from mainstream stuff as advertised on tv as they will be clueless about the car and the importance of you getting to choose where the repair is done. Try to choose one advertised in club mags or based on good feedback here, but only when the feedback relates to a hassle free claim.

It was over 800 when it was limited to 7k miles, went to 1k when I had to extend some way into the years policy. It will prob be over 1k next year
