Was hoping to install my new spa gauges/sensors soon,so I need some help again
Where is the best place to install the fuel pressure sensor… I gues I must use a T connector or smt to make it fit… ??
Also a bit curious where you guys installing the new colant temp sensor… I was hoping to keep the original temp too on the dash… Another T connector required ?? …or is there space somewhere else to install it (without removing the original sensor)
I believe Lotus do an in-line that goes at the end of the fuel rail (front left of engine, looking from rear of car) which the fuel sensor can then connect to.
For the water temp, mine was connected directly to the block in the correct place (like I’d know) in the middle of the left side of the engine.
Thanks for help…
About the water temp…heh dont actually need 2 sensor, but not sure where I like to read the temp yet… Ill se what I do…
Not sure if understand the “in-line”… Do you mean a device that will be connected between the fuel rail and the old connector for the fuel feed pipe?..
Anyway I just called Lotus to ask if they had smt I could use…but they dident… Where did you get yours from Uldis…??
Mutsnuts. And yes, just open the connection and put this thing in between.
He was going to make some more. I’ll PM you Stuart’s details separately so you can contact him.
If I may suggest, you could buy the dual pressure gauge, instead of pressure-temp and use the other pressure for the oil?
But since I too had a spare temp sensor I put it in the airbox, but because I have an Emerald and am constantly playing with the mapping and was curious to know the air temp.

Thanks Uldis… Just been in touch with Stuart… And he can make it for me in the begining of next year. … Was a bit expensive though… But when it has to be made all over again…its not for free … I need some days to deside what to do . but I prob go for your/Stuart’s solution…
About your suggestion… I got 2 dual gauges… And I will use all 2x pressure/ temp sensor… The one in the dash will be spare (for now)…
You chose where to put the gauges? I would say the gauge aluminum rack that Ian used is the best-looking solution, but I couldn’t see anything down there while drving.
Another easy place for an SPA water temp sensor is to drill and tap the ally housing that holds the current water temp senders (dash and ECU). I have done this as I am using an SPA water temp gauge. The hole that takes the original dash snedore now has the temp probe for my water pump. I will take a pic tomorrow and post it up for you. Some of the housing is quite thick so you need to drill and tap in the right place. Its good to measure the water as it exits the head, as in my experiance it is always at its hotest here.
If you are not happy to drill and tap the housing, you can post it to me and I will do it for you and post it back. If you send the sender as well I will seal the sender in for you as well. Just pay the postage.
As far as fuel pressure goes anywhere between the fuel filter and the fuel rail will work. Be careful of vibration as the threaded part on the SPA pressure sedners is quite small and you don’t want anything to break. I put my fuel pressure sender right after the filter so doesn’t get any engine vibration.
